Understanding the requirements of Mandatory Directive for Construction Projects and the inspection services during the Shelter-in-Place County order 

Please refer to the Santa Clara County Health Officer Order establishing mandatory risk reduction measures applicable to all activities and sectors to address the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically for construction projects, please review and comply with the Mandatory Directive: Construction Projects updated on December 16, 2020.

The County of Santa Clara requires all businesses to complete a Revised Social Distancing Protocol and submit this document to the County.  PLEASE BE ADVISED: Under the Revised Risk Reduction Order issued October 5, ALL businesses must complete a REVISED Social Distancing Protocol webform.  Social Distancing Protocols submitted prior to October 11, 2020 are no longer valid. 

Construction Projects on Own Residence Exempted

This Directive does not apply to construction projects where a person is performing construction on their current residence alone or solely with members of their own household.
